WELLNESS BY DESIGN
DESIGN TO SLOW YOU DOWN

Wellness spaces work hardest when they disappear, when the room itself lowers your shoulders before the session begins. I design environments where light, natural materials, and soft, grounded color do quiet, physical work: calming the nervous system, slowing the pace, making the body feel supported. From movement studios to treatment rooms, I create spaces that don't just look serene, they make people feel it the moment they walk in, and give them a reason to return.

Treatment Room Studio New York

A working studio that feels like a sanctuary.

This Pilates and wellness studio in New York was an interior decorating project rather than a full ground-up design.  The bones were already there, so the work was about styling, layering, and atmosphere rather than construction.

But the brief was no less demanding: the space had to do two jobs at once, functioning as a real working studio while feeling like a retreat from the city pressing in just outside its windows.

The answer was warmth and restraint.

Natural wood floors ground the room, layered greenery softens its edges, and an ornate black mirror catches the morning light, pulling the eye away from the hard lines of the equipment and giving the whole space a sense of calm it wouldn't otherwise have. Nothing fights for attention; every piece earns its place.

In the treatment room, a floor-to-ceiling cloud mural and a sheepskin underfoot turn a clinical necessity into a calm sanctuary. Here, the goal wasn't to impress, it was to shift the energy the moment you step inside, so the body begins to settle before the practice even starts.
