BATHROOM
BRING THE SPA TO YOU, AN ESCAPE EVERY DAY
A bathroom should do more than function; it should feel like a small, private spa you never have to leave home for. I design bathrooms around indulgence and calm: natural stone, deep soaking tubs and walk-in showers, soft layered lighting, and finishes that turn a daily routine into a ritual worth slowing down for. Whether it's a powder room that surprises guests or a primary bath built for long soaks, the goal is the same, a space that feels luxurious and restorative.

Black and White Elegance

This bathroom balanced two instincts at once, the freedom to start fresh and the restraint to preserve what was already special. The bathing area was rebuilt as a spa retreat: a deep freestanding soaking tub beneath an antique French chandelier, Roman-style black and white marble, and an original arched windowpane mirror , all in a soft, timeless black-and-white palette designed for the long soak.
The vanity area stayed true to the home's character, I preserved some of the original tile and updated the rest with classic penny and white subway tile, mirrored the the original arched Gothic mirror with a floor mirror that reflects the french chandelier, and added lighting found in an antique shop in a tiny Italian town. A European industrial vanity with exposed plumbing fits the compact side perfectly.
